The truth about Ebola

STEPS Centre researchers are studying how Ebola and other zoonotic diseases are understood by different actors in the media, institutions and localities in Africa.

Our work sets dominant views of Ebola based on security, global risks and biomedical framings of the disease, against neglected perspectives based on local knowledge, the role of poverty and the influences of environmental and social change.
